So... there's a silly graphics bug when zooming view near the central node - the sky disappears, and the walls, vehicles etc "move" the way I rotate my gun... _________________

It almost sounds like a HOM (Hall of Mirrors) effect. This happens when the game can not tell where 2 or more surfaces meet. Have someone look in the editor, and see if they can find the problem. _________________ I'm the mapper, he's the DJ

Hi Frank!
There's a problem in another (imo very good) map that I noticed: ONS-Desertification. There are two nodes, one in the very north and one in the very south (and both in the middle, east-west wise) which are located unter a mountain. There are big openings to the caves from 3 sides and although they are big enough for a vehicle to pass, this isn't possible, because the vehicles hit an invisible wall when trying to enter.
I know you're extremely short of time, but in case you have an idea about it and can take a quick look, it would be great if you could do something about it!

When playing the map, you should also take a look at the central node. No problems there, but just a great idea imo.

and plz. put 1 jump-pad in loxi so there is a way out @ the lava xD
only thing that loxi map needs to become a good map =P
so not some1 from other team is rushing to the lift and trows a bio to it for a 90% chanch of a kill

Ah alright, Carnage, this explains everything. The map is still under development and accidentially lacks a beta phrase in the name (I wouldn't have asked otherwise). Moreover, the blocking of vehicles is intended!
So... nothing to do, Frank, sorry for bothering you.

I am not sure why he made it deliberate, but he did. It loooks like a nice map from the screen shots. I would look at it right away, but it is my Daughters birthday today (22, blond and good looking, for those of you who are single and RICH!!!! ), and I have to play grill daddy tonight, so it is off untill tomorrow.

Im the author of Desertification (and have been registered here for ages, Ive almost never posted though ). The map isnt really ready for online play and I was pretty surprised to see it on TCP so quickly.
Anyway it is deliberate that you cant get vehicles in that node. The only way you are supposed to be able to get big vehicles across the map is by the bridges. I had to close off that node to stop people from just driving straight through. Im almost done with the next version, which is actually named as "beta 2" to avoid confusion. Ive sealed off direct access to that area and you can now only reach it through teleporters. |
