Yeah, don't forget to bring back ONS-SandsOfDestruction. I will also make a map that is a simple cube with 20 Reedemers, 40 Leviathans and 80 Ion tanks! [BTW: http://www.tcpclan.net/phpforum/viewtopic.php?t=1344&start=0 ]

...not. Razz I asked Carnage to remove Gunshop looong time ago (half of a year maybe?), and to be honest I'm wondering why it took so long to remove this map from the map list. :p The server is much better without those maps. At least now we don't have a map with more than 3 Redeeemers. -_-

Hi lidl,

they have been removed. Crying or Very sad
Maybee only for a while.
Some members don't like the balanceing of the maps.
Too much Spawnkilling, not enough vehicles - therefore too much distance on foot. Too long gaming for coming on an result, a.s.o.

I don't agree this, cause i like the maps like Gun$hop.
And many players on our server too.
Perhaps our big boss will rollback this decision. Very Happy

yes, impossible to please everyone.

.....but some of the maps you have removed were the most popular ones with the majority of your players.

Shame to remove them because a few people complain.

And i am sure if more people want them back they will be

Btw mass was more a performace thing then the map itself it seemed to cause quite a bit of lag on the server every now and again

Well, I liked Gunshop also, but the damn thing just took too long to finish. Just like BitchSlap. I had an itchy finger once and was going to change these 2 maps, but it would have taken too long. I would still like to see what Gunshop would look like and play like, with another room and another node.

Hi all,
one question for me is, why remove the most played maps from the server? I don't like Gunshop at all, but when the other guys vote for it, it is ok for me.
Most of the time i do not vote for a map, i play what the others want to.
The thing is, it's your server and you might do what you like to do. TCP Funhouse ist one of the most popular ons-server in the net and it is so, because here are the best maps to play and you find a lot of friendly and skillfull players there.

Well, it's hard to explain, but for some reason, people love to play maps with lots of chaos in it. Spawn-die-spawn-die-spawn-die... all the time - just like in Bitchslap, for example. The less skill you need, the better. The problem is just: There's almost no proper play possible. Skilled players get frustrated, because all they can do doesn't help much if there's some spawnkilling idiot throwing mines all the time or waiting in a tank, etc.

As for Gunshop, the link setup, openness and power of the equipment causes the matches to end in overtime in 90% of the cases. In the end, it's just luck if you can hold the middle node a little longer than the other team during overtime, causing the enemy core to drain a little faster.
