OK guys. I ahve played ONS, and enjoyed it because it was new. To use vehicles in a ma, was the high light of 2005/2006. Now I want to get back to the basics, and start making maps for Team DM. I like a few old DM maps like Observatory, and I think this would be my first one. Now I need you, once more, to help me in deciding. Should I even do something like this, so close to UT 2007 coming out? Is there anyone interested in seeing the "OLD" maps again?

What about new maps? My Kings Quest back then was large, but could really fit in UT. What do you say guys. I could even use some help from Kobra and ZZCat(why the ZZ?). HELP me guys and GIRL (if there is more than one(VAN) then let me know).

P.S. and no... I do not think there is another version of Deck 16 out there that can be made or modified. Confused

The way that Unreal went, in relation to UT and above, I am not so sure. Ut2003 and UT2004 are compatible, but I am not sure if they will be that "Dumb?" to make the new one fit the old one.

But what do you think about it. Are you ready to help?

well UT2k7 has a different engine than UT2k3 and UT2k4 but still i think it will be compitable.
and yes, im ready for some teamwork... a whole U1 Mappack wont be bad for UT2kX Smile

Yeah all of the fusion map pack except maybe the one with the cage/floor trap Smile And I know that Cee at least would worship you if you did an Obs conversion. I dont think anything is too big for 2k4 Carnage Laughing

I think the specs for 2k7 might stop some peeps from playing it for a while at least anyways, my pc seems to struggle with 2k4 ONS at times.

Oh, and Kobra is the second person to get himself trapped in the Sinfonia lift, I think I was shooting at him at the time but not sure because we hit a big laaaag spike at the time.

I dont know whether it makes a difference map wise, but TAM seems to be taking off right now Wink Some of the 2k4 only players say they enjoy Sinfonia btw Very Happy

GREAT guys. Then I know what I am doing next. Observatory. ONS was fun to learn, but the detail that is involved to make a map that large look nice....WOW!!! I have been working on the winter one since, I think Feburary or something like that, and I could spend easily another 2 months on it.


OK, it seems that the lift in Sinfonia is a problem. I guess I stetched it also, and the verticies are alittle too big. I will try and fix that tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the input. Very Happy

As for the Observatory
There is a remake of that allready i was playing with it a bit some time ago coz it kept crashing due to the jumpboots .. so tossed them out

The Obs part looks prety much like the real one but they added a reaaaaaaaly large extra stuff .

Perhaps it would be easier for u to just change this map a bit Smile

YO, at first I did not recognize it. He added a whole new side to it. Looks real nice, except of the Grass. I guess that is what you meant being "big". Ok I will shorten them down and take a few out. I saw a few other things that I can fix, you will most likely not even notice. But all in all the map is good to go.
